What started as an outlet for Music City’s finest  musicians to get their classic country kicks out between tour stops…well, hasn’t changed much. Orangutwang is a group of buddies that share a love for the country of yesteryear, cold beer, and a dark room to mix the two alongside anyone with a similar hankering. 10 years in, the appetite hasn’t waned a bit.

Orangutwang’s members sport a resume of Country and Americana’s who’s who, from Josh Turner to Hailey Whitters to Lauren Alaina. Its frontman daylights as one of the town’s top writers, penning cuts from Darius Rucker, Chris Janson, Kameron Marlowe, and the #1/Grammy nominated/CMA nominated hit “Chasing After You” by Ryan Hurd and Maren Morris.

When they’re not working their day jobs as session musicians, music business executives, and hit songwriters, Orangutwang is getting tapped to act as the house band for Nashville events (backing up the likes of Lainey Wilson, Randall King, and Maggie Rose) and getting calls to soundtrack private events for those in the know.
